After Bob's adamant review/ admonition that I MUST read this book ... well, I had to read it. It did NOT disappoint. Set just after World War II, it is a poignant look at how much war affects EVERYONE, even the landscape, yet still a precious story of hope, spunk, and re-building. Bob mentioned this, but I had forgotten -- it is letters back and forth, and such a precious look human spirit. Thumbs up. Go read.

Yes, I agree on that one - excellent book. Plus, I just last night finished "My Husband's Sweethearts", and I loved it, as well. Very well-written and witty, with lots of dry humor. Thanks for the suggestion!
