Wednesday

The Storm Before the Calm

If you almost aspirate by sucking your own hair down your throat as you inhale deeply enough to launch into what is becoming your regular, "NO,-you-may-NOT-wear-athletic-socks-with-your-church-shoes-and-church-pants" tirade before church, you may need a moment to collect yourself when you get to church.

At our house we are lucky if the sock have been change in three days. I swear my kids take a bath and put dirty socks back on. So, if they are clean then Yeah!

At this point, if he has clothes on at all, we're good to go anywhere.

At our house socks are not a big deal. Are they clean and do they fit, sometimes when there are none clean Jack will wear my socks to school, and the heel is above the back of his shoe, that looks a bit weird, but he doesn't seem to care. Sophie had on a beautiful church dress last week and cute little girl heels, with athletic socks on for church. It was a sight, but I just giggled when I noticed it as we were already at church walking down the hallway. Then later that night I went to Bible study with my nice black shoes on and athletic socks because my feet were cold. Socks in our house - not a big deal. I think that the no athletic socks with church shoes comes from your area of the country you were raised in.
