Who are you and why are you here?

You know me. I don't shop at Wal-Mart, I'm a ridiculous sap when it comes to my husband and children, I occasionally go for a run, and occasionally get in unbelievably grouchy moods that cause me to proclaim all the ways that I don't like you.

But who are you? You've been peeking in and reading all about me, but never comment. Okay -- 4 or 5 of you comment. I average over 40 hits a day on my blog. I don't know your name or email address, sometimes I can tell your city. Leave a comment, tell me where you live and how you found The Cleft of the Rock. And, weigh in if you like -- why do you read? What do you want to hear about? What brings you back (if you come back)? It's your turn. Let me hear from you.

Yes, I am talking to YOU!

Well, I am one of those that comments from time to time, so I think I am off the hook on that one! I will say that logging on every day and seeing what you have to say has inspired me to begin my own blogspot page! I am excited, think it will be fun, and theraputic on so many levels!

Blog on Sarah!

Your faithful reader, Anne

Are you kidding? I leave a relatively funny remark about your NASCAR photo and what do I get in return? Not so much as a courtesy laugh. Not even a LOL!

LOL!

I am your friend, who finds you completely amusing on so many different levels. First, intellectually, you have a mind like no other, second, you have a sense of humor which brightens even the dreariest of days, and third a spirit which is seeking and humbling itself on a regular basis....what a blessing you are to me in life and bloggerland.

Okay, I admit it, I'm a reader and never comment. I knew you and Troy at ACU eons ago and somehow stumbled across your blog. Been checking back ever since. You make me laugh and think (usually on the same day). Keep it up and I'll keep reading...and maybe even comment again. Hi Troy! YBP!

Okay, are you talking to me, ARE YOU TALKING TO ME! Hee, hee - is that from the Godfather? Don't know, the last time I heard something like that was in a kid's movie... Yes, I do read and don't comment, except at work. I like to read because you're experiences so mirror mine - it's like reading Erma Bombeck. It always makes me laugh at daily life. So, I will comment sometimes from now on, unless you talk about your boss.... : - ) No, really, I guess all of us just like to have our lives and feelings validated - that we all share common experiences, common feelings, etc. Thanks for letting us peer into your life!

It's me--your coffee and prayer group buddy. I usually check your blog twice a day. Once in the a.m. and if you haven't posted--once at night. Thanks for sharing your life and your gift for writing! Love, Robyn

I read because it's a great way to learn a small bit more about my precious daughter and her equally precious family. Peering into your fertile mind is almost like hearing directly from you in a phone call. Therefore, a day without a new posting is not as sunny to me.
And M.C., your quote is by Robert Deniro in "Taxi Driver"

Since you're asking, you used to know me in a former lifetime in Temple. Diana passed along an article you wrote that showed up in some unexpected place and it had your blog address so here I am. I've checked in and enjoyed your blog regularly for the past month or so. Holler back when you get a moment.

I've got to leave this up a little while longer -- people are falling out of the woodwork!! John Roberts???? Michelle Stephens???? Michelle, it took me 10 minutes to figure out who you were!

You guys see me as way more funny and insightful than I see myself. I definitely find humor in the mundane, but all too often, the inappropriate as well. (hint: do NOT sit by me at a funeral or any emotional moment)

Thanks for sharing -- you're right, Kendra. We should definitely avoid that "weighing in" phrase. I was at a personal high today of 112.

hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! :-)

Well, Sarah, you ARE that amusing. . .mainly because you say (atleast in blog land) what most people think but are afraid to actually verbalize. I'm pretty sure you do it in real life too, because I know I do, and I think we come out of each other's psyches, and therefore each other's mouths more often than we care to admit.

I used the word "amok" the other day in a sentence and brought down the house. . .I was just talking. You are able to do it with the correct word interjected at the correct time. . .of great worth in this world of ours.

And I have expressed to you more than once how sad I am that my district is blocking the blogs. You were the way I started my day at school. Always a good thing.

I particularly liked your "I don't like you" blog recently. . .a gem of human honesty that makes the rest of us feel like we are not alone. . .

and seeing as how I was a regular commentor. . .and/or commentator, you COULD e-mail me every once in awhile now that I've been banned. :)

Hey Sarah,
I confess I'm a pretty regular reader. Sometimes I too find myself "Missing Sarah" and find that keeping up with you even from afar makes me smile. I also tend to feel cheated that when you moved you took Ashley and Riley with you, so I love hearing about them. Also blog reading is cheaper than Ebay. melissa p.

Yes, Becky, I often tell others of our wonderful first year of teaching. . .two brand new, bright eyed teachers. . .placed as far away from the building as humanly possible (do you ever wonder if Mr. Stovall did that on purpose), teaching two completely different grades, and neither of us had a clue. It was the deaf and dumb leading the blind and afflicted out there.

Now you get to keep your own little blond ducks in a row. :)
