Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.
James 4:13-17

that's my theme verse for the year.
Sometimes I wonder if it's possible that we are occasionally sent days like your Thursday to remind us of the James passage. I am really sorry for your car trouble. I have this mental snapshot of Riley helping push.
Another perspective: Ronnie Teague and I left at 6:15 AM Friday pulling a 12' U-Haul to New Orleans to retreive Sara's belongings. We spent two hours loading and drove right back. We were both AMAZED at the evidence of destruction we saw everywhere. We exited the freeway onto Elysian Fields and there's a large area there that still has no electricity; high-water marks everywhere.
I'm assuming you didn't get the zucchini muffins delivered. . . :)
