Busy Weekend!
Emily got married. Greg had his 4th baby -- 1st boy! Beverly is at a conference! I feel like such a slacker...!

This is one of my elders. I don't know his wife well, because she is unable to come to church due to caring for their child. A beautiful story of choosing to love.

This video is inspirational--but what I was most taken by was the absolute lack of self-pity expressed by the parents. Instead, they express love, commitment, choice, and a not-looking-back attitude; their son is a gift, and they know it. Thanks for sharing this moment with us.
And . . . I clicked on Greg's name, wondering about who baby #4 was, and lo and behold, I know these people! I cried when I saw Melanie's picture--she was my roommate my last year of graduate school, and I was in her wedding, but I TOTALLY lost touch with them.
She looks absolutely the same as she did in 1992--what took my breath away was the three beautiful girls surrounding her. I can't believe they are so grown up, and I'm thrilled that she has been blessed with another child. Just to find them again is what I love about blogland. I need to email you for contact information; I can't wait to talk to her again. Wow! Thanks, thanks, thanks!
