Observation

I always get tickled when I go someplace (most recently Starbuck's) that asks for a name so that they may call my name when my order is complete. When I tell them 'Sarah', they invariably ask, "With, or without, an 'h'?"

Either way, will it change how you pronounce it when my order is ready?

I love it! They ask me, is that Stephanie with a "ph" or an "f"?

But those stores that ask my phone number before they even begin scanning my stuff? I politely tell them, "sorry, that's classified." :)

Anyway, now I'm really craving a coffee.

Well, I ask that question because I know you AND every Sarah/Sara I know has a STRONG opinion regarding the presence or absence of that "h". . .and I also normally need to write it. Plus, probably (again) because I know you, I myself prefer the "h" on the end.

But I get your point.

At least you don't have to contend with someone writing it "Rocksand."

This cracked me up.

I haven't had this experience with coffee guy/gal, but almost every single time I say my full name, the clerk (or whoever) asks,"Do you spell that with an H?"

Even the most simple and common of names can trip people up! (I won't even begin to tell you all the ways they alter "Jana"!)

LOL! Well, I guess you might be offended if they spelled it wrong when you got your cup. Next time make up a name! That's what our kids at church used to do...they'd say something like "Brad Pitt."
